Between 1988 and 2005 while travelling to gigs or working at them – if l found a cassette sprawled out discarded on the side of the road – I'd use the tape as a stencil and create a middle of the road artwork, with a tag of 'SANE' The band or festival I was going to didn't matter; the music on the tape didn't matter.
I just left a small semi-permanent stencilled artwork in the 'middle of the road'
I did this 23 times – then ended the project.
These artworks are a creative reinterpretation of that idea, limited to 13 individual works, one unique print of each.

This is the original inspiration – but they have been signed with simplified titles because frankly – no-one but me would care about what band I was travelling to, inspired them:-)
The # number is on the cassette on the artwork; so M.o.t.R vol#1 is print one etc – each unique as a variation on a theme 1/1 print on Hemp paper.
